Linda Lewin, studio jewellery

linda lewinMy jewelry is hand made in precious materials, gold, silver, stones and pearls. I use traditional techniques. The most important element is time. Time to discover the quality of the materials, time to learn the hand skills and time to create and concentrate ideas into original work. I expect my work to be worn and enjoyed every day as well as on special occasions. My collection includes necklaces, brooches, rings, chains, bracelets, wedding bands and tiaras.

I also make models for animal bronzes, particularly horses.

I graduated from Sheffield College of Art and have worked as a studio jeweler since 1979. My work is included in the National museums of Scotland Craft Collection. In 2000 I was awarded a Scottish Arts Council grant which enabled me to study granulation and classical techniques in New York.

I enjoy teaching beginners and advanced students in specialist classes and Workshop Weekends.

I sell from my own workshop and through galleries, prices typically range from £100 to £1000. If you would like to make a purchase or discuss a commission please contact me.
