A pair of silver granulated earrings with beads and wire which have been treated with black patina. The design references natural patterns exemplified in sea creatures such as starfish and sea urchins.

Granulation is an ancient technique which relies on two essential elements. Fire and intense concentration. My process requires each bead to be made individually under a flame, placed in position with a paint brush and fired until the metal reaches red hot and all the parts fuse together.
